Las Vegas, Nevada, 03 June, (Asiantribune.com): “I think we will achieve a real sense of drama with the (Beatle) music, the audience will feel as though they are actually in the theatre with the (Beatles) band. People are going to be knocked out by what they are hearing!” was what Giles Martin, the son and associate of the legendary Sir George Martin, the Beatles’ original producer said when he addressed the media at the custom-built theatre at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

Sir George and his son Giles are co-music directors of Cirque du Soleil show, LOVE, which celebrates the musical legacy of The Beatles. The preview performance began June 2, and the Gala Premiere is scheduled for June 30, 2006. Exclusively presented by The Mirage in Las Vegas, the LOVE will bring the memories of The Beatles music of the yesteryear.

LOVE is presented in a custom-built theatre at The Mirage featuring 360 degree seating and advanced high definition video projections with 100-foot digital, moving images.

The writer’s memory went back to the sixties and seventies when The Beatles was more popular in the Asian and Pacific region, long before the Americans started enjoying the group’s musical scores, when he enjoyed the 90-minute The Beatles Love the other day. The Asian Tribune, which has a reasonable understanding of the Asian market, whether it be political, economic, social or entertainment, is confident that the Asians, whether high rollers or not, will be attracted to this enormous creativity in bringing the Sound of The Beatles to the twenty first century audience.

The special effects, the display of lighting and the acrobatic performances go well with the musical scores of The Beatles, one being the perennial hit “I want to hold your hand.” The management and control of sound give the desired effect to the mixture of The Beatle songs and the acrobatic acts.

Amazingly coordinated choreography to the music of “I like to be under the sea” and a host of other hits, the combination of The Beatles musical scores, the choreography and the acrobatic acts give life to those perennial hits of The Beatles that were enjoyed by those in the Asian region. The region still enjoys The Beatles music, and Cirque du Soleil production The Beatles Love undoubtedly will attract the Asian visitors to Las Vegas.

This writer felt that the entire 90-minute show has done justice to the theme “Peace and Love.”

Sir George Martin, the Beatles’ legendary producer says “a panorama of sound (of The Beatles), a soundscape that will last for 90 minutes.” Those sentiments were proved true to this writer when his memory went back to the sixties and seventies while enjoying those perennial musical scores of The Beatles brought at The Mirage theatre in Las Vegas in the United States western state of Nevada along with the superb acrobatic and choreographic performances highlighting the theme “Peace and Love.”

The preview period of The Beatles Love at Las Vegas Mirage would run through June 29, and beginning July 1, “LOVE” will be nightly at 7:30 and 10:30. Tickets are for sale for $69, $99, $125 and $ 150. For tickets, the sponsors want the public to go to one of the three Web sites: www.cirquedusoleil.com [1] or www.thebeatles.com [2] or www.mirage.com [3]
